While women make up nearly half of the U.S. labor force, they represent only 28.6% of the manufacturing labor force.  In the automotive manufacturing sector, women represent 23.6% of the workforce- less than a quarter of the automotive manufacturing workforce.  Despite the impact COVID has had on the sector,  automotive manufacturers are engaged in considerable efforts to retain, develop, and advance the current and future generations of female automotive manufacturers.

The Manufacturing Institute's STEP Forward program, an integral part of the Institute's STEP Women's Initiative, provides women in manufacturing with an opportunity to hear from industry leaders, connect with their peers in the industry and learn best practices they can bring back to their company.

Join us as we host an informative, thought-provoking, and best practices focused session on advancing Women in Automotive Manufacturing. We will be joined by a panel of manufacturing workforce leaders at the forefront of shaping and leading efforts towards advancing women in automotive manufacturing and engaging the next generation in the sector.

After the panel discussion, make plans to participate in one of our three Solutions Forums, where participants will share their personal experiences and best practices in:

    • Retaining Women in Automotive Manufacturing
    • Leveraging Mentoring and Sponsorship Programs
    • Inspiring The Next Generation

Don't miss this chance to hear from leading automotive manufacturing workforce leaders, network with your industry peers, and learn best practices to advance the current and attract the next generation of female leaders in automotive manufacturing. Register Today!
