  • Senior Vice President, North American Intermediates, Florham Park, NJ (August 2016 – Present) - Responsible for P & L of $ 1 Billion North American Intermediates Business Unit, including Acetylene, Butanediol, Amines, Formic Acid, specialties.  Organization of 500 people with 4 manufacturing sites.
  • Senior Vice President, North American Petrochemicals, Houston, TX (March 2011 – July 2016), Responsible for P & L of $ 4 Billion North American Petrochemicals Business Unit, including olefins, ethylene oxide, acrylic monomers, oxo-alcohols, and plasticizers.  Organization of 700 people with 6 manufacturing sites.  Earned premium over cost of capital all years. 
  •  Senior Vice President, North American Procurement, Florham Park, NJ (Jan 2008 – March 2011), Responsible for procurement of $ 8 Billion spend for raw materials, energy, indirect materials, services, and logistics for $ 20 Billion Corporation.  Organization of 200 people with annual budget of $ 35 Million.  Continuously achieved annual savings of greater than $ 200 Million. 
  • Vice President, Functional Polymers, Charlotte, NC (June 2005 – December 2008), Responsible for P & L of $ 700 Million/year NA Dispersions and Paper Chemicals business with 9 Strategic Business Units.  Managed staff of 9 direct reports and overall organization of over 120 including Marketing, Sales, Asset Management, and Technical Service functions.  Continued to deliver a 20% premium over the cost of capital.  Led the NA Marketing and Sales integration of Degussa Construction Chemicals acquisition.
  • Business Director, Polymers, Charlotte, NC (Feb 2003 – May 2005) - Responsible for P & L of $ 600 Million/year NA Dispersions business with 6 Strategic Business Units.  Managed staff of 7direct reports and overall organization of sixty-five 65, including Marketing, Sales, Asset Management and Technical Service functions.  In first year, developed and implemented extensive restructuring initiative which created Marketing and Asset Management functions and consolidated multiple sales forces to improve customer responsiveness, optimize headcount, and reduce selling expenses.  Business was profitable and exceeded plan in 2003-5, returning premium on cost of capital; increased profitability by $ 20 Million in 3 years.  Achieved selling cost reduction of over $ 4 Million/year, while achieving sales volume growth of 17% and sales revenue growth of 70%.
Air Products and Chemicals (August 1995 – December 2002)
  • Business Manager - Coatings, Allentown, PA (Sept 1998 – Dec 2002) - Responsible for sales and marketing of dispersions to the paint and coatings industry. Managed the activities and performance of staff of 10 in technical service, applications development, and marketing.  Was responsible for developing and implementing strategic plan, pricing and margin management, new business development, and directing promotional programs.  Extensive sales and customer interface.  Initiated and directed multiple new product development programs through implementation of the Stage Gate Process.  Led new product development program which commercialized product with sales of 70 Million lbs/year in the 3rd year.
  • Global Purchasing Manager - Polymer Chemicals, Allentown, PA (Aug 1995 - Sept 1998) - Responsible for procurement of $ 250 million/yr in raw materials for 11 global plants.  Developed short and long term raw material purchasing strategies which achieved $ 20 Million in annual raw material savings.  Developed extensive experience in negotiating and executing raw material supply contracts.   Extensive interface with Research in the implementation of raw material strategies, qualification of alternate raw materials, and on-site supplier audits.  Managed and facilitated senior management relationships.  Led purchasing integration for several international acquisitions.  1 direct report.

  • Marketing Manager, Philadelphia, PA  (Dec 1993- Aug 1995) - Responsible for marketing of dispersions to the Textile and Nonwovens industries.  Implemented strategic plan, worked with Research in the development of new products utilizing the Stage Gate process, and coordinated promotional activities.  Extensive customer interface.
  • Product Manager, Philadelphia, PA (Jan 1990 - Dec 1993) - Responsible for product management for the North American Dispersions and Specialty Monomers businesses.  Liaison between Marketing teams, Manufacturing, and Research in the implementation of strategic plans.  Coordinated the prioritization and scheduling of new product scale-ups for 15 emulsion plants.  Optimized product sourcing, controlled inventory levels, and coordinated all toll manufacturing activities.  Extensive contact with external customers and internal Marketing, Sales, Research, and Manufacturing functions.  1 direct report.
