A strong background in aviation has been the bed rock of my career, and has lead to spending the past several years in the Engineering and Manufacturing industries. After 5 years of active service in the United States Marine Corps, and another 2 in the National Guard in Iraq, I was a contract instructor for Kawasaki Helicopter in Saudi Arabia. I later served as the Director of Generator Division for Turbine Marine. Most recently, I held the position of Director of Integration Operations at RedViking Engineering in Plymouth, Michigan.
My most recent accomplishment is being nominated and winning the Aircraft Maintenance Technology Magazine’s “Next Gen 40 Under 40” Award. As COO, I am charged with assisting the CEO in her vision for the company by running day-to-day operations for both the engineering and production of antennas. I believe the most important part of my job is to continue to provide a culture of respect and excellence for all employees and customers at JEM Engineering.
I earned my Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license from MIAT College of Technology, with whom I have partnered with to develop a Machine Builder Co-op program for RedViking in the past, which created opportunities for A&P students to gain applicable skills and experiences in an aerospace environment. As a member of the MIAT Program Advisory Board, I also lent my time to assisting with curriculum development and equipment acquisition, as well as speaking to current students about careers in aviation and aerospace.
